Os estilos de vida são padrões de comportamentos que caracterizam um indivíduo. Cada dia há mais evidência que sustenta que os comportamentos e os hábitos de vida condicionam a saúde. A ortodontia não pode ser alheia ao estilo de vida de cada uma das pessoas que busca tratamento; pelo contrário, deve dar-lhe grande importância a cada um dos fatores comportamentais para poder chegar a um diagnóstico e a uma elaboração individualizada de um plano de tratamento. O objetivo desta revisão de literatura é analisar como influenciam a atividade física, a nutrição, o peso corporal, os hábitos alimentícios e nocivos na prática ortodôntica.
