Lifestyles are patterns of behavior that characterize an individual. There is growing evidence supporting that behaviors and life habits influence health. Orthodontics can´t be alien to the lifestyle of each person seeking treatment, on the contrary, it should give great importance to behavioral factors to arrive to a diagnosis and an individualized development of a treatment plan. The aim of this review of literature is to analyze how different factors, such as physical activity, nutrition, body weight, diet, or noxious behavior influence orthodontic practice.
