Diseño de una red de área local para la empresa Ingeprom, Barrancabermeja
En este artículo, el autor explica el diseño construido para la Red de Área Local (lan) de la Empresa Ingeniería de Proyectos y Mantenimiento (Ingeprom) en la ciudad de Barrancabermeja en el 2010. El diseño contempla dos maneras de conectarse a la lan: una a través de un switch al cual se conectan todos los equipos cableados de la red (3 pc de escritorio), y la otra, a través de router inalámbrico. La metodología utilizada es la que propone la Academia Networking de Cisco Systems. El autor realizó la simulación del diseño lógico de red mediante la herramienta PacketTracer (Simulador de redes de Cisco Systems); de esta manera, analizó cómo los diversos dispositivos utilizados en la red se interconectan con el fin de identificar colisiones y el funcionamiento global de esta.
