Aims and Scope
The publication Ingeníera Solidaría is a scientific publication which has for its objective to publish the results of applied and sustainable investigations in a context of social vocation, in all the different fields of engineering.
"History"
The publication was first published, twice yearly, in 2005 and in January 2017 it changed its publication frequency to four times a year. In May of the same year, Ingeniería Solidaría became a digital publication.
"Preservation"
Ingeniería Solidaria employs LOCKSS, and PKP PN to preserve its digital content. LOCKSS allows for local backups, and PKP PN provides a stable platform for content management and preservation, ensuring long-term accessibility.
Mission
Ingeniería Solidaria (abbreviated title ing. Solidar) is a international scientific journal whose objective is to disseminate the results of applied and sustainable research with a social vocation. It seeks to impact the scientific and academic community interested in alternatives for the social application of engineering.

Achieve in 2022 the recognition of the international scientific community as a means of disseminating results of applicable and sustainable research with a social vocation. Position yourself in recognized indexes such as Scopus and Web of Science (WoS) worldwide and regionally as Redalyc and SciELO.
Periodicity
The publication was first published, twice yearly, in 2005 and in January 2017 it changed its publication frequency to four times a year. In May of the same year, Ingeniería Solidaría became a digital publication. Ingeniería Solidaría is published three times a year (January, May, September).
Publishing costs
Both the sending of articles and their editing process, if approved, does not have any cost for the authors, since it is financed in its entirety by Ediciones UCC.Open access policy
The journal is based on the principle of offering the public free access to content, helping to increase global knowledge exchange, by publishing all articles of the journal in open access, under the following Creative Commons license. The journal publishes its contents in open access, without any embargo period. In addition, all works are published under a Creative Commons’ Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0), and their use must adhere to these licensing conditions. NOTE: The journal modified its CC BY-NC-ND license to the CC BY license since 2019, with the publication of volume 15 number 1
Ethics
The journal and its editorial team will promote, through its policies and actions, ethics in the research processes, the appropriate use of content protected by copyright and the quality of the works it publishes, so that the different collaborators (editors, authors and evaluators) interact under principles of academic integrity. The journal follows the recommendations of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) for handling inappropriate conduct in scholarly publishing.
Plagiarism
As an anti-plagiarism measure, this journal uses TURNITIN, a tool to mitigate the risk of academic and professional plagiarism.
