Characterization of solidarity organizations of the municipality of Puebloviejo, Magdalena
The objective is to identify and characterize the solidarity organizations related to the fishing sector in the municipality of Puebloviejo, in the department of Magdalena, Colombia. For this purpose, the qualitative methodology was adopted with a method based on social cartography. Triangulation was carried out through interviews, workshops, and observation. As a result, the existence of approximately 90 solidarity organizations was found, mostly associations and cooperatives. The existence of an organization called the Committee was evidenced, apparently it would be an organization prior to the official registration in the chamber of commerce. Relevant characteristics were identified such as; the presence and leadership of women in some organizations, a significant outdatedness in the records on existing organizations of the mayor's office, the majority of organizations are in four of the seven corregimientos in the following order Tasajera, Puebloviejo, Isla Del Rosario and Palmira.
