About the Journal

Purpose and Scope

The journal Spei Domus is an academic publication whose aim is to disseminate research, reflection, and review articles, as well as clinical cases related to animal health and production, public health, sustainability criteria, and biosafety in Veterinary Medicine and Animal Science. Its target audience includes researchers, research groups, professors, and undergraduate and graduate students in Veterinary Medicine and Animal Science in Colombia and other countries.

"Trajectory"
The journal was founded in 2005 with the purpose of scientific and technological dissemination by the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Science of UCC, Bucaramanga campus. It was published semiannually in print and, since April 2016, in digital format with issue number 24.
Open Access Policy
The journal publishes its content in open access, without any embargo period. Likewise, all published works appear under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International license (CC BY 4.0), and their use must comply with these licensing conditions. Authors submitting articles for publication must complete the rights transfer form; this ensures that the text is covered under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International license (CC BY 4.0), and also authorizes the article to be translated and published in languages deemed appropriate for its visibility and impact. NOTE: The journal changed its CC BY-NC-ND license to CC BY in 2020.
Plagiarism
As an anti-plagiarism measure, this journal uses TURNITIN, a tool for mitigating the risk of academic and professional plagiarism.

Ethics
The journal and its editorial team will promote, through their policies and actions, ethics in research processes, proper use of content protected by copyright, and the quality of the works it publishes, ensuring that collaborators (editors, authors, and reviewers) interact under principles of academic integrity.
Publication Costs
Both the submission of articles and their editing process, if approved, have no cost for the authors, as they are fully funded by Ediciones Universidad Cooperativa de Colombia.
