Factor general de personalidad y felicidad: un estudio desde la perspectiva rasgo-estado en una muestra colombiana

El presente artículo es el resultado de la investigación “Factor general de la personalidad y emociones positivas”, realizada entre la Universidad de Valencia España y la Universidad Cooperativa de Colombia, sede Bucaramanga, en el marco de la formación de estudios doctorales, Doctorado en Psicología de la Salud. Existe un debate científico abierto sobre la naturaleza de la felicidad, en cuanto a considerarla una emoción transitoria bien una disposición estable de la personalidad. También existe un debate sobre qué personas son más proclives a ser felices, es decir, si determinados rasgos de personalidad pueden estar relacionados con la felicidad. En este artículo se analizan estas relaciones en una muestra de Arauca (Colombia) (N=557). Se estudió la relación entre felicidad, euforia, depresión, ansiedad y hostilidad, a partir de diferentes instrumentos. Los resultados indican que la Escala de Euforia Rasgo Estado (eur-e) es una buena medida de la felicidad en su doble naturaleza de rasgo y estado, en su aspecto más hedonista, y, además, está íntimamente relacionada con el Factor General de Personalidad (fgp).
