Importance of diagnosing oral diseases in children
Dental examination in children is not only limited to the diagnosis, treatment and prevention to identify cavities and other frequent affections in this population, but also to many other oral manifestations of innumerable causes. The diagnosis of these injuries requires extensive professional training to provide an adequate treatment. Dentistry has the guarantees to provide patient safety in their care and thereby improve their professional practice. This article aims to reflect on the role of the dentist and the different situations that affect the oral health of the child population.
