Purpose and Scope

Cooperativism & Development aims to disseminate knowledge in the area of social sciences with a focus on territorial development, alternative economies, and other forms of economy (social, solidarity, and cooperative economy), always analyzing humans and their multiple interactions from a multi, inter, and transdisciplinary perspective, contributing to the generation of scientific knowledge with recognition in various databases and articulated with academic and scientific communities on the subject, with international projection and scope.



"History"

Cooperativism & Development is a scientific journal that has been in print since 1975 and, since 2016, is available in electronic format, using the Open Journal System (OJS) platform, currently on version 3.3.

Periodicity
It is a continuously published journal with pre-scheduled issues published semi-annually in January and July through the OJS platform.

Open Access Policy
The journal publishes its content in open access, without any embargo period. Moreover, all published works are under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0), and their use must comply with these licensing terms. Authors of articles submitted for publication in the journal must fill out a copyright transfer form, thus not only adopting the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0) but also authorizing the article to be translated and published in languages considered suitable for its visibility and impact. NOTE: The journal changed its CC BY-NC-ND license to the CC BY license in 2021, with the publication of volume 29, issue 119.

Ethics
It adheres to the principles of editorial practice in ethical foundation and best editorial practices, the Principles of Transparency and Best Practice in Scholarly Publishing, the third version of a work in progress (published in January 2018) by the Committee on Publication Ethics.

Publication Costs
As an Open Access journal, it does not charge any fees to authors at any stage of the editorial process and is funded by the Universidad Cooperativa de Colombia through Ediciones UCC.

Preservation
Cooperativismo & Desarrollo uses LOCKSS and PKP PN to preserve its digital content. LOCKSS allows local backups, and PKP PN offers a stable platform for content management and preservation, ensuring its long-term accessibility.

Plagiarism
Plagiarism possibilities are eliminated through the use of software TURNITIN.
