Impacto da síndrome de Fomo na saúde mental de adolescentes
uma revisão sistemática
Objetivo: Identificar as características e implicações da síndrome de Fomo na saúde mental de adolescentes.
Metodologia: Revisão sistemática da literatura, abrangendo os últimos cinco anos e utilizando bases de dados digitais. Foram selecionados estudos que atenderam aos critérios de elegibilidade previamente estabelecidos, incluindo amostras representativas de adolescentes.
Resultados: A síndrome de Fomo, conhecida como o medo de ficar de fora, é caracterizada por uma atenção desviada para as atividades publicadas nas redes sociais por outras pessoas, o que gera ansiedade e preocupações com a exclusão social. De acordo com os estudos revisados, essa busca constante por conexão pode ter consequências negativas para a saúde mental, especialmente em adolescentes.
Discussão: O uso excessivo de smartphones e redes sociais foi identificado como um fator preditivo da síndrome de Fomo, e os transtornos mentais podem desempenhar um papel determinante em seu desenvolvimento.
Conclusões: É crucial que os adolescentes adquiram habilidades digitais e socioemocionais, como inteligência digital, autoestima e autoeficácia emocional, para estabelecer uma relação saudável com a tecnologia. Essas habilidades são fundamentais para que os adolescentes utilizem a tecnologia de maneira adequada e mitiguem os possíveis efeitos negativos em sua saúde mental.
