• Purpose and Scope

    Pensado Psicología (abbreviated title Pensando Psicol.) is an international, electronic, continuous-publication, open-access scientific journal that focuses on clinical, educational, and social psychology. Empirical, theoretical, and interdisciplinary articles in Spanish, English, and Portuguese are welcome, all of which undergo a rigorous double-blind external peer-review process. Its publication is aimed at researchers and carries no cost for authors.

    "Periodicity"
    Pensando Psicología is published semiannually (April–October). The journal may also publish special thematic issues at the initiative of the editor, members of the committees, or external collaborators, which may appear in an extraordinary (additional) issue within the volume.

    Open Access Policy
    The journal publishes its content in open access, without any embargo period. All published works appear under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International license (CC BY 4.0), and their use must comply with these licensing terms. Authors submitting manuscripts for publication must complete the copyright transfer form; this places the text under CC BY 4.0 and also authorizes translation and publication in other languages to enhance visibility and impact. NOTE: The journal changed its CC BY-NC-ND license to CC BY starting in 2021, with the publication of volume 17, issue 1.
    Publication Costs
    Submitting manuscripts and the editorial process—if the article is approved—are free of charge; there is no cost at any stage for authors. The journal is fully funded by Ediciones Universidad Cooperativa de Colombia.
    Preservation
    Pensando Psicología uses LOCKSS and PKP PN to preserve its digital content. LOCKSS enables local backups, and PKP PN provides a stable platform for managing and preserving content, ensuring long-term accessibility.
    Plagiarism
    Potential plagiarism is eliminated through the software TURNITIN.
    Ethics
    The journal and its editorial team promote ethics in research processes, the proper use of copyrighted material, and the quality of published works. Editors, authors, and reviewers interact under academic integrity principles. The journal follows the recommendations of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) for handling inappropriate academic conduct.
