This research seeks to contribute to the analysis of the recent United Nations Plan for the Preservation of the Global Environment Agenda 2030, whose objective number eight contemplates the need for all nations to implement it in their agendas, with emphasis on decent work, which establishes that people who carry out a productive activity should obtain a fair income, security in the workplace and social protection for their families. All this implies a relationship between decent work and economic growth, directly observed in the productive sectors that sustain a particular economy. This article is a documentary research with an explanatory scope, based on the analysis of scientific articles and publications of international organizations. The relevance of this paper lies in the fact that it will analyze the relationship between the concepts of decent employment and economic growth in Mexico, within the framework of the impact that the covid-19 pandemic caused in all productive sectors and in employment. It is based on specific ideas and concepts that show how this should be reflected in society and who is responsible for ensuring this social goal.
